Yes description makes sense. I won't have dimensions for quite a while then David, sorry. That 104 sat behind a garage for over 20 years. I watched and tried to get it a couple times but to no avail. My buddy got it somehow a few years ago and I bought it from him last summer.
I was going to put one of the creepers I got on it, but after the great hydro versus GD when using a thrower debate, I've opted for rehabbing my 105 instead for the cab to go on. It's a local tractor and has been it's whole life, 30 mile radius. I'll be using my qa42a on it, whenever I get to that project... Hernia threw my winter plans out the window this year! But it was 62 and somewhat sunny today and a nice weekend ahead!

Had an issue with my 982 two nights ago and need to look into the problem. Was blowing snow for about an hour or so and then it just turns off. It was like it was out of gas? Checked the tank, 3/4 full still. Tried to restart it, after cranking it a bit it wouldn't go, so tried choking it - it finally went. But it was way under powered and was spitting and spuddering. Had to restart it 3 or 4 times to get it back to the garage. Let is run in the driveway with choke on, until it died again. That was about 5 minutes. I eventually got it going again and put it inside. Notice now when I go in the garage a strong gas smell? I have to take off the shields today to see what the problem is. Could it be something as simple as a seal gone on the fuel pump or a cracked fuel line and its sucking air?
It has a Mag 20 in it now that I put in about a year ago. Have NEVER had issues with it until now. It will fire up in the coldest weather and purr like a kitten until now.

Thoughts, suggestions?

Check the oil first, I bet it's way over full. I'd suspect bad fuel pump diaphragm, or bad carb float.

Don't trust it with a full tank of gas and ALWAYS stick the oil for a while.....it will fill the crank case in a heartbeat.

A new Facet Cube 1-2 psi electric fuel pump is a $50-60 fix.....

BUT.......a bad Kohler coil pack (under rear flywheel shroud) is also a possibility.

Check the oil...crankcase might be full of gas. If so, the fuel pump has probably failed, or the float might have developed a leak and won't close the needle and seat.

Kraig, I installed VuePrint & followed your instructions. When I try to upload, the file is too big. Do I need to change any other numbers in the resize box? Even tried 500 & "too big". Help!

Charlie-

From what I see on the weather forcasting your snow should be gone shortly. They're calling for unheard of heat coming your way (in February, that is).

David Q.
You just have to play with it.
I've found that taking pics of Cub stuff, reset your phone/camera to 1 meg pic size first.
Anything over that, you might have to go down as low as 200 in Vueprint. Also, set the DPI to 5 instead of the default 72.
