Hi all. Long time no post but I read everyday. Beautiful job on the tractor Brennan!!. I am trying very hard to adjust my schedule to be at the Flywheeler show and look forward to seeing your beauty.

Good job Brennan. My original is all taken apart and primed awaiting paint for about a year now.

It started out like this

It ran with no problems, but the deck was not functional in it's previous condition. The deck was made up with new 3/16" metal for the pan and cut off anything in good condition from the old deck. The hood had some dents in it that I had to work out and the grill frame was broken and rewelded. I took the grill frame from the green one and painted that one up and plan to put the broken/welded one back on the green one which will someday be painted in the red/beige.
I am planning to make FlyWheelers on Friday and will be driving around towing a friend of mine. After the show it will be used to mow my lawn.

Charlie P. Great find on the Pincor.

I need to find one of those myself. And I have to figure out how to burn a copy of that song or send it to a coworker/friend from Minnesota.

Brennan H. Super nice job on the Original.

Kraig M and Art A. Aren't those cigarette lighters the same ones they put in tractors and combines?

Mike Caruth and I went to Oskaloosa today to pick up his third Cub Cadet. We had it loaded and didn't start taking pics until we were on the road. (My cell phone camera pics.) If I remember the serial number correctly it is a nice little 1967 102.

All loaded.

Gee to think Mike had just one (a 105) Cub Cadet when I met him two years ago. He has the fever bad. Good thing he has a big garage and a loving spouse. They are out to dinner tonight so I promised that I'd post these.

I was wondering what is the biggest deck I can get for my 129? There is a deck on ebay right now thats a 50A, he said it will fit a 1650 so I assume then it will fit a 129. Is the 12hp enough for a 50"? Does it take the same mule drive as the 44" I have on there now? Is 6" enough to warrant the change? I mow 2.5A fwiw. The only issue with the ebay unit is it seems overpriced. Starting bid of $175 seems high to me. Description said fair condition and he has made repair welds and a quick spray of cc white. Also says he greased the bearings and they seem good so I assume they are probably original. What would be a fair price for an old repaired mowing deck?

MARLIN - IH probably used that same lighter in trucks, Scouts, pickups, combines, tractors, etc. I used to have another side to Our computer system @ FARMALL I could access to see who all used a part and how many and if they had inventory.
KRAIG - I've spent some $$$$ with O.E.M. on FARMALL parts. Lights & other little detail parts for the M, They sell good stuff. Not cheap but "Correct". Most of the BIG heavy stuff they make "in-House".

TRISTAN - Yes, a 50A should mount right up where a 44A mounts. For normal lawn grass mowing a decent running 12 HP should pull it O-K. I know several people here run 50" decks with 129's.
I can't comment on the price & condition. I will say that when I mowed with My old 129 & 44A deck I could get done with My 2+ acres in about 10-15 more minutes than it takes for Me to mow with My 982 & 50C deck. And the 44A would fit in a LOT of places in My yard where the 50C won't. I have about 80-90 trees & bushes in My yard. Normal mowing time with the 129/44A was 3 hrs, 982/50C is 2-3/4 hrs. I actually think the 44A did a better job of mowing than the 50C does, but I'm going to make some "Improvements" to the 50C before it mows the first time this spring. The wider 50-series decks seem to distort more in use than the 44-series decks do.

I bought a 1975 1650 Hydrostatic and I am trying to convert the hitch to accept category "0" equipment. I have an old T20 Roper that I used to raise vegetables and have all of the original equipment. I have the arms from the Roper and I am able to get the equipment to hook up, but I can't seem to get the power lift to raise up more than three or for inches. Any suggestions?

Dennis F: I own an '72 IH 1210 P/U and a '79 Scout II. While the bases may be the same, the 'knob' part is different. They always match the style of knobs used on the dashboard of the particular model and thus have a different part # for each version. All IH cigarette lighter knobs are not all black with lighter written on them...

Tristan S. Geez... if'n you weren't so far away I could line you up real quick with a nice 50" deck for a lot less than $175.00. Now if you could make it to Rockford, Iowa for Spring Plow Day... or find someone that is attending and could get it close to you.

Mark G. I posted this on the other page that you first posted on. Try Aaron Schmidt's website... you'll find a bunch of great items for your 1650 including a three point. CLICK HERE Then you can send me that Roper three point to put on Clarence. (Of course Clarence will use it only long enough until he has his own three point built.
