I am a victem of the bug.
hood clearance issues due to bent frame rails, should I try to bend them back or just shim the back bolts?

A 2 pound hammer and a block of wood will do wonders for that problem, BTDT and it came out just fine.

Thanks Charlie, I thought I might try to bend them back straight tomorrow with a pipe wrench but I tend to get inpatient so I thought I would ask first.

I think you'd be better off with Charlie's block of wood and bfh than a pipe wrench. The pipe wrench will put more of a bend on the front than the whole section.

I'll try it your way, that makes good sense to me.
I just hope I don't have to post any pictures tomorrow of my smashed thumbs in bandages.

If you want to do it the easy way, set the tractor on the concrete, measure up from the ground to the frame back where it's not bent. Cut the block that length, stick it under the bent frame, smack the frame down to the wood. That way your less likely to over bend the other way.

My daughter and I spent the day driving 10+ hours round trip to pick up my Killer Kohler from David Kirk!

I'll have to take some photos of it once I get it unloaded and moved to my shed. Here's a photo that Dave took when he finished putting it together.

I got to try Dave's 1250 with his Killer Kohler. Folks, this is one nice tractor, you should hear it! (I forgot to have my daughter take some video of me clearing snow with it.

) She did take a photo of me on it with Dave standing by after I cleared some snow. Have I mentioned you should hear this thing?

thank you, thank you!

Awesome job on my Kohler, I can't wait to get it mounted up in a tractor so I can start it up.

We also made a brief stop and visited with Brain Diederichs and his son Matt. They built up the coolest turbo diesel mini-bike. (Charlie, I took some video of it with Matt doing donuts that I'll send to you on Monday.) Brian and his brother Jim also have some nice turbo diesel pulling tractors.

Brian also has this interesting "tractor".

Brian, Matt, thanks for taking the time to meet with me.

My father & his brother as a winter project restored a 196? Cub 100. It looks new runs strong and a daily driver. However it lacks fenders thus we are searching. , My question is,, will these fenders fit the 6? 100 ????

Kelse- Those fenders only fit the Original Cub Cadet. The fenders you need for the 100 are the two individual rounded fenders. They fit the following models- 70, 100, 71, 72, 73.

Does David rebuild twin cylinder's? That engine is awesome.

Kraig M or Dave K,
Is that a Roof mower in the bottom picture Kraig posted? I have one and am trying to find info.

Good morning All. Anyone see this site before? Found a Cub on it only the fella wants something in the market of $3000.00. KIJIJI

Adrian, I'll let David answer that.

Tom, yes that is a Roof Model 60. Do you have the Model 60 or the Palomino? There is not a whole lot of info on the Web about them but if you search for "roof mower" or 'roof palomino" with google or yahoo you will find a little bit of info.
