REPEATING......

Bill - I'm glad you understand. I don't see anything in that pic that is really as Ryan describes as "bolts to the frame", except that knob. Your pic does show the "Rockershaft" I mentioned - which is the part with a hole in it that the lift rod connects to. Geez, where is Ryan.

Maybe he's working and maybe you over think things. I've heard it happens when one retires and has nothing better to do.

Harry-

That part requires a 5/16" coiled roll pin but Ryan may have had one where a PO replaced the roll pin with a bolt. I've seen more than one that way. To me he's obviously talking about the little arm directly beneath the number 3 in the picture Bill J. posted. He also mentioned "hydro" which eliminates the strong arm altogether. Ryan also stated the "little arm where you install a lift rod".

Wayne - yup, I think he's talking about that little arm directly below the No. 3 in the pic, and that arm is called the "Rockershaft". But it ain't bolted to the frame. It's attached with a roll pin as you noted, but still not to the frame. That roll pin attaches it to a rod that goes thru the frame. And Ryan has enough of these units to know it needs a roll pin, not a bolt. This thread is sure filling up. I hope Tom H posts that caption again (hehehe).

Wow, didn't know there was so much confusion! Wayne is right, the arm directly below #3 in the pic. Someone should have just emailed me...haha. Thanks for the help guys!

Sorry Harry, I was outside working on the Cubs. I realize the piece dosent bolt, its pinned...my bad choice of words. Sorry for the wait!

Hey Ryan - geez, as long as you were working on Cubs then it's ok. We were having fun here trying to figure it out.

So you need a "Rockershaft". That odd shaped steel part shown just below the no. 3 in the pic below. There must be a graveyard around that has one. Hydro lift ain't much good without it.
