Hello
I have a 1650 cub cadet which needs a starter. Does anyone know if the starter has 10 or 13 teeth? I tried to look through previous posts no luck. Thanks

Brian A., I have one "UOS" brake return spring. How long have the brand new springs been lasting for you? Send me an email with your mailing address (I think I only have your old address.) and I'll send it to you. Hopefully I can remove it from the parts Cub without breaking it...

Ed-this maybe a dumb response...could you count the teeth on the original unit that’s the way I’d do it but maybe I’m wrong

Ethan
I have yet to take the starter off. I usually like to have the replacement part in hand when swapping. I thought I would find it. I believe it's 13. Any help I'm grateful

Ed,
The only way to know for sure that I know of it to take yours off and count the teeth like Ethan said. Can't say as I've ever run across any paperwork that states what serial number tractors had what starter.

Ed- I replaced the starter on my 1650 this fall and it was 13 teeth.

Thanks Ed
I thought it was 13. I guess I should check it out before I purchase one.

Edc-if it’s not to much trouble pull count and order...I work as a parts counter man for a living..I deal with folks who assume they have one thing and end up needing the other all day long.just some friendly advice
