Jeff, That looks like a US Pride Logsplitter, my good friend and neighbor designed that, here is a pic from his website. www.usprideproducts.com
I've seen this in action, impressive!

they had one of those logsplitters on a skidloader at this years farm progress days here in wisconsin. they look pretty handy, not to mention expensive.

New version of an old tool...I could think of other uses for that setup (I'm thinking of sneaking up behind someon....... ahhhh, never mind).

Only issue I've got is that most wood split with one of them won't split flat - I stack at least half my wood without posts on the end's of the rows and need nice half or quarter rounds.. (picky, picky, picky..)

Vincent same idea, I think just a different manufacter ether way it beat splitting by hand those big ones and was very COOL

And he just got it for 5000$ so it was practice for him and costed me 40$ about 2 cords after a little more chain sawing. Ill post a few bertter photos

Didn't somebody make something simular to that back in the late "70's" early "80's" that mounted on the drive axel of a car? I seam to remember seeing one when I was a kid.

Jason, yep, and it was available for use on a Cub Cadet.

Looks like it would be quite a workout to hang on to a log when using one of those. I'd hate to have a log get hung up on it. "Ouch! there went another finger" lol.

I saw the local highway guys cutting a oak down, we talked a little and they did everything but unload the 3 pickup loads they gave me
