This morning poor Fancy was STARVING. He rushed to the dry food when I put it down, but when the wet food came out, he all put inhaled it, then went to the bench where Tootsie is and jumped up and started eating her's. I had to lift him down of course. Did I ever get a look! Nothing like making me feel BAD.!! I then decided to give him abit of wet from Tootsies plate and gave her his ham. He hasn't been wanting to eat ham, so thats actually a good thing, but was giving him a few bites, but a few bites less is better. I was surprised that all their dry food wasn't eaten by afternoon feeding time yesterday. They actually had 1/2 of it left. This morning I put down a 1/4 C. I put some in a cup on the counter for Annie, so she can jump up and get a few more then Fanc. Also upstairs in Tootsies room Fanc would go in there and eat her dry food at night, so when I go up to get her in the afternoon, I put her dry food UP. So Fancy has no more outlets for continual grazing. I just thought, good thing Fanc doesnt like BREAD. At least we don't have to take him off of a high carb diet..haha. I think bread and of course think of MM.
Mike, I get ya on a kitty tolerating the LOUD noise of the cubby. The vet was astounded. I took a pic of the two of them in, and said they are actually in motion, but of course a pic looks like a posed pic. Wish we had a camcorder so I could get Fanc and Marlin riding on the cubby. I guess that is why folks in town come out to meet and greet him, as he is an oddity. I guess he gives Marlin continual head butts and
when they are one their little road trips around town
Hannah is keeping up her pace on saying Hi. Last night I had to get for a potty break and forgot to say HI to Hannah when I came back, and she kept whispering HI HI HI over and over till I finially came out of my stupor and said hi then she had to say Hi again. I said, OK, lets go back to sleep now, and she settled down. lol. her meows sound like a squeky toy.
Monday Annie accidently got locked up with Tootsie for the day. That has happened once before. Marlin doens't turn on the light when he puts Toots in her room, so it would be easy to miss Annie if she was in there somewhere. I went to open Tootsie door, I was startled by Annie bolting out the door. Geez, I didnt even miss Annie. Isn't that awful? She usually spends the days on the porch, so guess that is why. At times I feel bad that Toots has to be in her bedroom for the day, but she loves her bedroom. Really! Since her and Stinker & Hannah got to a point that they didnt get along, we had to seperate them. Would love to re-introduce her to Hannah, but I am fearful that if Hannah lit into her, she would be traumatized and not come downstairs anymore or the very sensitive Hannah would ban herself to the bedroom, which she did for 3 weeks when we moved in here, but she wouldnt come out of what is now Tootsie's room. Geez. Now, afternoon around 2ish of so, Hannah has to go into my bedroom and she's alone for 5-7 hours alone, unless Marlin gets on the comp or I do, but she's use to that and is fine with it. I just dont want fights or anyone to end up traumatized, so I havn'e figured out how to do it. Sometimes it's best not to fix what isn't broken.??? I would love to have Toots down with us though. She loves to sleep on the church pew in the dining room. Hannah stays in the living room, so it isn't like they would be in the same space, and Hannah nevers lays on Marlin and Toots does so again that wouldnt present any problems either. Maybe I'll figure out how to do it. If I could put one on the porch and the other in the house and let them get use to each other that way? BUT.. neither of them likes being ' stuck' on the porch. They don't like the screen door closed so they can't get in the house. ( sigh) Anyone have any ideas?
