This morning poor Fancy was STARVING. He rushed to the dry food when I put it down, but when the wet food came out, he all put inhaled it, then went to the bench where Tootsie is and jumped up and started eating her's. I had to lift him down of course. Did I ever get a look! Nothing like making me feel BAD.!! I then decided to give him abit of wet from Tootsies plate and gave her his ham. He hasn't been wanting to eat ham, so thats actually a good thing, but was giving him a few bites, but a few bites less is better. I was surprised that all their dry food wasn't eaten by afternoon feeding time yesterday. They actually had 1/2 of it left. This morning I put down a 1/4 C. I put some in a cup on the counter for Annie, so she can jump up and get a few more then Fanc. Also upstairs in Tootsies room Fanc would go in there and eat her dry food at night, so when I go up to get her in the afternoon, I put her dry food UP. So Fancy has no more outlets for continual grazing. I just thought, good thing Fanc doesnt like BREAD. At least we don't have to take him off of a high carb diet..haha. I think bread and of course think of MM.

Mike, I get ya on a kitty tolerating the LOUD noise of the cubby. The vet was astounded. I took a pic of the two of them in, and said they are actually in motion, but of course a pic looks like a posed pic. Wish we had a camcorder so I could get Fanc and Marlin riding on the cubby. I guess that is why folks in town come out to meet and greet him, as he is an oddity. I guess he gives Marlin continual head butts and

when they are one their little road trips around town

Hannah is keeping up her pace on saying Hi. Last night I had to get for a potty break and forgot to say HI to Hannah when I came back, and she kept whispering HI HI HI over and over till I finially came out of my stupor and said hi then she had to say Hi again. I said, OK, lets go back to sleep now, and she settled down. lol. her meows sound like a squeky toy.

Monday Annie accidently got locked up with Tootsie for the day. That has happened once before. Marlin doens't turn on the light when he puts Toots in her room, so it would be easy to miss Annie if she was in there somewhere. I went to open Tootsie door, I was startled by Annie bolting out the door. Geez, I didnt even miss Annie. Isn't that awful? She usually spends the days on the porch, so guess that is why. At times I feel bad that Toots has to be in her bedroom for the day, but she loves her bedroom. Really! Since her and Stinker & Hannah got to a point that they didnt get along, we had to seperate them. Would love to re-introduce her to Hannah, but I am fearful that if Hannah lit into her, she would be traumatized and not come downstairs anymore or the very sensitive Hannah would ban herself to the bedroom, which she did for 3 weeks when we moved in here, but she wouldnt come out of what is now Tootsie's room. Geez. Now, afternoon around 2ish of so, Hannah has to go into my bedroom and she's alone for 5-7 hours alone, unless Marlin gets on the comp or I do, but she's use to that and is fine with it. I just dont want fights or anyone to end up traumatized, so I havn'e figured out how to do it. Sometimes it's best not to fix what isn't broken.??? I would love to have Toots down with us though. She loves to sleep on the church pew in the dining room. Hannah stays in the living room, so it isn't like they would be in the same space, and Hannah nevers lays on Marlin and Toots does so again that wouldnt present any problems either. Maybe I'll figure out how to do it. If I could put one on the porch and the other in the house and let them get use to each other that way? BUT.. neither of them likes being ' stuck' on the porch. They don't like the screen door closed so they can't get in the house. ( sigh) Anyone have any ideas?

Here's a couple of pics taken a few years back when Fancy helped his dad plow the garden. Not only does he love riding around town on the cubby, he also doesn't mind bumping, bumping around on the cubby to help out with the garden. Fancy didn't get tired and get off..he hung in there and rode along to complete the job, lol, and he was pretty darn proud of himself when he got off too. Tired as well. He took a long nap afterward.

Cathleen,

That Fancy is one more cool cat!
With all that has happened lately, I've lost track of what's happening on this site. Not to mention getting behind on work around here. I was planning to ride my Harley today, but it is raining again for the fifth Saturday in a row. They said this morning on the weather forecast that today would be a beautiful mostly sunny day. I haven't seen any sun yet, and it's after 12:00. They can't even tell what it is doing now, much less in the future!
Anyway, I did manage to swap some houses yesterday for the pets. The cat hammocks have been delayed for now. I took the house that came with the dog, pressure washed it, and put it in the cat beach house. They love it! Louie dived right in. Here's some pics.

Here they go.......

Ready, set, action!

As for the dog, I cleaned out my previous best friend's house, put down some lime for the bugs, and coaxed him to come on in.

243796.jpg

Since it was raining a little, I had to ask him to come out and smile for the camera. He did. Look close and you can see his pearly whites!

Marty, I so enjoyed the pics of Lester and Louie. I had a good hoot at Louie guarding his new house and sitting on his hauches with his front paw up, as though to say..hey,hey, Its MINE..all MINE..keep out brother Louie! Great pics of the boys enjoying and playing..and YES I do indeed see those pearlie whites on the puppies grin. too cute.

thanks for the updates and I can tell that the Louie and Lester love their new house within the condo and the puppy is enjoyin' his new digs as well.!

Lol Frank. nice of ya to wonder where I was/went..((smiles))

I was having really bad migraines due to needing new glasses, so I hadn't been on the comp much. I got my new glasses this past Saturday.

The optomitrist said that I would have a hard time with the new specs for at least a week if not more, so to expect it, and I feel like I have the flu, so maybe thats the 'difficulties' she was talking about. Also had a bad headache the first night..all night long, so didnt get much sleep. It will take a bit to get use to the new specs as my sight had changed so radically, that the new specs are totally different then what I had. I went from being near sighted to be far sighted. My eyes did a complete flip flop, and the doctor said she had never seen that before. my count went from +75 to minue 117, what ever that means, I just know its wasn't good. hopefully is a few days I won't feel lousy anymore, or have anymore migraines/headaches.!! Its amazing to be able to SEE the world around me. I was missing so much..my old specs weren't doing me any good, thats for sure. They actually made everything out of focus. I was abit overdue on getting new specs.. lol. so glad I finally did get it done.

I'm around. might be a day or two before I'm myself again..but I'll kicking around.

take care everyone

Hi everyone! Thanks for the shout out Mike! Awww Kraig, what a cute snuggly furball Tots is. ((smiles)). wish I could roll up in a ball like that and be THAT comfortable. lol, and got a kick out of the sneezzzz pic too.

Gosh that kitty in the sneez photo looks almost identical to a friends kitty who is now 22 years old. Her name is Sweetie and she is still in good health. Can you believe that? She is a very petite Torti.

Ok, so now some questions for you to all answer. What kind of funny antics, Quirks, habits do your kitties have? Thought this would be an interesting topic to share..

I'll start with Fancy, the CC kitty. lol. One thing he LOVES LOVES LOVES is clean sheets, blankets. When ever I do bedding or wash the throws on the couch. the very second they are put back on nice and clean, he makes a mad dash to take his place. We have a big L shaped couch and he will sprawls out, and he won't lay in just one spot, oh no, he will get up and move, so he gets the full benefit of all the clean sheet..lol this photo was taken right when I started him on a diet. He actually has lost a few pounds now. He doesn't have this bulging tummy, a budda tummy . That's a big sign that we are making headway, but he has a long long way to go..less food and our walks are working out well. He can now walk the walk all the way down to the tree's and turn around and back up to the house, without a break. I was really proud of him when he did that last week. BUT, when he gets to the sidewalk, that IS where his walking ENDS. He won't take another little kitty step further, and I have to pick him up and carry him into the house, He collapses.. falls down and he just can't take another step..hehehe..drama guy..yeppers, and a signiture move.

an antic of his is when I drink milk with supper, well, if I leave my chair and I dont take my milk glass with me..this is what happens. He loves this glass as its wide enough for him to get his head down into..hahaha

245111.jpg

Oh, he does it right in front of his daddy too, no matter. He jumps off his chair at the table. Well, actually his chair is pushed away from the table, and he makes a mad scramble for my chair and jumps up to have some milk..needless to say, by the time he's done there are fine little black kitty hairs in it, so it becomes HIS glass of milk and I have to get myself a fresh one...lol

Every morning after Marlin gets dressed for work, Fancy has to be scooped up and taken outside to smell the fresh morning air. He will actually take deep breaths like we humans do when we take a deep breath of fresh air..haha. Of course, it's dark at 3am,and who knows what's lurking out there,so daddy holds him, but that is a daily ritual.Last week there was a snunk very close..lol, so I had to hurry up and close the open windows, and Marlin had his eyes wide open when he went to go to work too..!! and Wednesday is trash day, so thats a big thing for Fancy. He HAS to help daddy take the trash to the street in the dark on the morning. Holding Fancy under one arm and carryin' a sack of trash in the other, but mind you, Fancy believes he is doing a huge job, and he always looks so proud when he comes in the house. I usually have more stuff to take out later, so again, he helps. Well, he runs to the door and gets all excited, talking, but when it comes to carrying the trash, um, not so much of a help. lol. but he's there for me..watching anyways.

Toliet paper. I had to take the rolls off the holders in the bathrooms, not because Fancy or the girls will shred them, but because Fancy would actually get toliet paper off the roll, a little to much at times, and then take it back to his litter pan and cover up his..well, you know what.! honest..not kidding. Now, if there is a paper towel on the floor, he will get that and go cover up his food with it..

...oh, and Tootsie does the same thing. I put a paper towel under her morning food plate, and she will then manage to get it out from under and cover up her food, or better yet? She loves pink, so I have a thick pink towel folded on the chuch pew in the dining room, where she jumps up at to eat, and she will actually work the end of it, and manage to tuck her plate into the fold of the towel. She's pretty handy with those little paws of hers.

I'll share more later....

am looking forward to hear about everyone kitties and what they do..

have a good one!!

I'm not sure how "funny" it is but, M.M. prefers to sleep between the wife and I when it's cooler, or during the summer months when the AC is running. But, he works himself under the covers so that his little head is on my pilow and his lower half is under the covers! And sometimes he wants to hog my side of the bed so he gets his back against the wife and tries pushing me towards the edge of the bed. Of course this isn't comfortable so I move around trying to get comfortable and eventually wake up as I've run out of room and covers!

Also, he's not scared of the dogs in the least and will actually wait for the sheltie to walk past the recliner and then he pounces from above onto the dogs back which not only startles the sheltie but causes him to run around trying to get away!
