Paul,

How well did that dethatcher work? I have one that I want to try behind my 1250, if it ever dries out.

I'd like to put a pan seat on my 123. Originally, I planned to use a Farmall H/M/Cub 4 bolt silver canvas seat, then paint the red steel pan yellow. After mocking it up with a Farmall seat tonight, it looks too wide (~21"). How wide is an original/70/100 seat? The mounts for the original, 70, 100, and 73 look like they would put the seat too high if I adapted it to fit my 123 tunnel. Any suggestions? I'm also still hoping to put round fenders on it. I just like the looks of this setup and our farm tractors all have pan seats.

Thanks,
Gary

I think it worked quite well. Pulled up two large bags of thatch from the front lawn.

Thanks all... It lived it's life in a garage when not in use...

Funny thing about the fuel bowl, when I reinstalled it back on the tank, if I install it until its hand tight, it's 1/4 turn too far towards the tank to grab the fuel line, so it's a little loose on there but doesn't look like its leaking... Any recommendations on that?

The rubber fittings on the fuel line are "OK"... I would have replaced them if I could have found the parts online...

I'll have to keep an eye on the situation..

Leaving for camp shortly to get some more goodies

@Ken: I like that method as I'm not stranger to meters, I'll have to give it a go =)

Brian if you put some pipe tape on it, you should be able to get it to tighten up we're you want it, might need an extra wrap, or you can use paste which hardens after a few minutes, personally I don't like the paste because when it hardens it can be really hard to take apart

Gary, I will measure my original seat soon as my inlaws leave, and I can sneak out to my garage, lol

GARY Z - The 4-bolt pan seats from M's & H's fit fine on CC's, but you'll need to make up a 4-bolt to single bolt adapter plate to both the H/M seat on the spring. Piece of steel 1/8th inch to 1/4 inch thk works fine.

I've run 4-bolt pan seats on my 72 & 70 for years.

Inlaws are gone,

Gary the seat measure 18.5" at widest part on my original
