It depends on if you have a 10 or 13 tooth in it.

KH-45-755-03 - KH-45-098-09 - 10 tooth
IH-117167-C94 - KH-45-098-11 - 13 tooth

Tis one has 13 teeth. I'll check with our local Cub Cadet dealer on the Kohler number. Thanks Digger. I'll let you know how it works out.

I might buy this from one of my cousins. It belonged to his FIL. Supposedly it's a rebuilt engine that he had as a spare for his home built log splitter. Also has some spare Kohler parts. Note the throttle control on the muffler heat shield.

At least it wasn't like the Case tractor I saw a guy cut in half to use as a log splitter.

Seeing the 100 with the #1 cart from the brochure was great, but this set is mine!

I think that it's funny that a lot of the old brochures had guys smoking pipes. That must've been a very distinguished look back then.
err.gif

My uncle smoked a pipe and I always thought of him as a distinguished gentlemen.
Today any kind of smoking is a big no no in advertising.

Smoking should be a big No, No PERIOD. Its disgusting.

The only smoking that should be done at any house, is that of a diesel powered cub!

Kraig - Oh Great One Keeper of the Photos - that possible "spare" K241 looks to be almost the correct version for a Cub Cadet, best I can tell from your pics. I almost thought that was a Starter/Generator laying next to it but then I saw the louvered fan so I suppose that's for some old car. I guess we need a look/see at the crank output end (PTO?) and the side where the S/G would mount.

Nic - yup, it's a big NO NO but there are some of us who still do it. I had and uncle and Grandpa that smoked pipes, and many other relatives that smoked "roll your own". I guess you could say I almost inherited it. Fortunately neither of my kids do it. I'll never forget who is the most constipated man in the world - "Prince Albert on the can".

Hydro, it IS from a Cub Cadet. I do need to make sure it was rebuilt with the correct crank. Seeing that it was rebuilt as a spare engine for a log splitter it might have had a different spec crank installed or even had the crank modified.

Kraig - since there is no wire to the points coming from what would be the S/G side of the engine I'm guessing it's been set up for "pull start" - so the PTO is like missing, and it would have the some type of pull start pulley instead of the basket pulley that would surround a PTO. Maybe it is the original basket pulley with a slot cut out for the knot on the end of a pull rope. Gotta have some more of your Famous Photos to have that "look/see". Hopefully we won't see any modification to the crankshaft.

Just in case you southern guys were wondering, LOL

Charlie, better check the date stamp on your security camera setup, unless that's a forecast photo.

I set it up and never changed the time or date.
I figured, I knew all that already.

If you are recording that video feed you might want the correct date/time stamp on it in case you ever have an issue documenting the correct date/time might be important.

And to keep this at least slightly on topic, here's an old, circa 1975, photo of me and my youngest brother Kent (RIP

I'm not even done with Iron Patriot and I'm already wondering about my next project...just in the idea stages but how difficult do you guys think it would be to drop a kohler magnum/command motor (h/p yet to be decided!) into the double hydros chassis (my spare 1450)?I think that would be a cool and different take on a 1450

Ethan - assuming you mean a twin cylinder Kohler Magnum/Command, I think it would be extremely difficult and not worth the time/effort to modify the engine and modify the tractor. A big part of the appeal of a CC twin stick 1450 is the 14hp Kohler K321AQS.

Charlie - that 125 must either be a restoration, or a repaint, or a lightly used unit. I'm guessing it's a repaint since the yellow seems to be a little off color, and it looks like the thrower gearbox and pulley are painted white. But overall it's a pretty nice looking 125.
