Brian: Charlie is correct that most Cub Cadets have Kohler single cylinder 10, 12,14 & 16 hp engines and use the Autolite 216.

However, other Cub Cadets which have 6,7, or 8 hp single cylinder Kohlers use an Autolite 458. The 682 & 782 which have a Kohler twin cylinder KT series engine use the Autolite 826 and the 982 uses an Autolite 3926.

Like Charlie, I use Autolite plugs in all mine and never have plug issues.

Here's one more Cub Cadet picture for Harry. Should help in identifying what model it is.

Just me or are they using the incline of the stairs to service the John Deere?

I'd change her oil anyday

I saw that picture of Charlie's and for some reason forgot to mention it is a 1200 I acquired.The ammeter was bad as it showed full charge with no power.I installed a used one that I know was working.I have a wire from the lower fuse that I'm not sure where it goes.I just saw another picture of a C/C and hope I didn't forget anything else.

How come I have only seen Champion H10s in all of these Michigan&Ohio C/Cs?

So an update on my 124... Took the cover off the points and turned her over and the push rod for the points doesn't move... The points always stay together

Now what?

Some folks just stick with what they have always used and refuse to use anything else.

Personally, when I buy a box of 6 Champions and 3 turn out bad, I have no time or use for them.

Autolite's have been 100% good for many years for me.
That's my story and I'm stickin to it.

Daniel, Brian E ;

The Champion H10c spark plug is fine. It is inexpensive, decent quality and readily available. It is the plug that Kohler recommends for 10-16 horsepower K series engines.

Also how in the heck do you get the sediment screen out? I took the bowl off to clean it after I drained the fuel but can't get it out and don't wanna damage it :/
