I recently parked my 982 Hydro after clearing some trails in my woods. A week later I went to start it and nothing. Turned the key all the way over and heard one click. Battery had full charge and lights came on so I crossed the solenoid. It turned over but no spark.

I replaced solenoid and battery switch and still nothing when I turn the key. I also checked to see if the safety switch to the brake was good (by crossing posts on back of switch with key in start position) My next move is to clean the contacts on the harness receptacle going to switch. Is there anything else I should look for?

Did you clean the ground going from the battery to the frame of the tractor? Seems those ground connections can sometimes be medocre at best.

Just a thought...
