OK, I located an Indak switch, still no luck on the mower deck motors. Further troubleshooting using IH manual and following their continuity tests, I discovered that one of the motors has a faulty/open thermal overload switch. It bench tests fine using pos and neg jumper cables directly to the motor but installed in the harness it won't activate the magnetic switch. I emailed Harold the clean power business who I purchased parts from to see if he has one. The motors are also in series so since one was open, the other doesn't work. Oh well I am glad that I was able to determine the problem although I am not sure yet on the solution. If I just connect the wires and eliminate the thermal protection it would be like the kid I knew in high school who would replace blown automotive fuses with aluminum foil and see where wires were smoking:)

The thermal overload should be an easy fix for the right motor shop.
I may be able to help source the overload if you have specs.

It lives! After talking with Harold, I soldered terminals on a wire bypass and reinstalled the mower deck motor and put the deck on the 95 RER. It is designed for the mower deck motors to only run when the traction motor is running. Flipped the switch and they both came on. Sounds so cool when they run! Only the fiberglass body restore and paint left!

This is the first time this 95 Electric has run under its own power in at least 30 but probably closer to 40 years. I have some fiddling to do and a little wet sanding and buffing the paint. I have a set of decals from Scott Urschel then it should be done. Quite a journey if you look back on the thread. 2 year project with lots of interruptions as everyone knows. I have enjoyed it and it's always great to finish a project!

Really nice re-furb. Good on ya!
Cheers, Jack

A little cut and buff, newer non original cub cadet seat tweaked and installed and decals installed. This project is put to bed. Cold and worse weather coming this weekend in the Ozarks. I am anxious to try out the performance of this 50 year old electric cadet rear engine rider in the spring.
