In the midst of replacing the input shaft on my 126 I have discovered that the needle bearing is no longer serviceable. Does anyone know a source for one that isn’t for Cub Cadet? Because they want $99 for it.

There should be a number etched on the race. Google that number, or take it to a bearing supplier and let them cross reference it for you. Never, ever, buy standards like bearings, fasteners, seals, etc. from Cub Cadet unless there is no other source. Their markup is awful.

In the event that ends up being something weird that doesn't cross to anything, here is a less expensive supplier:

I have access to a couple 73s that have kept indoors but don’t run, I’m planning on taking the input shaft from one of them. If that bearing looks good could I just take it and use it too? I mean as long as it’s not wore out of course. And assuming a local supplier doesn’t have one
