I have a 7205 (new to me). I am interested in sharing experiences/ how-to's with other 7205 or 7000 series owners.

Don't work it to hard and you'll be just fine. Try and use it like a mini tractor and you'll regret it quick. The rear ends are pretty much junk and the hydros are worse yet. Nice mowing machines though. Make sure and check the lug bolts/nuts on a regular bases, They tend to loosen on their own.

My guess would be the hydraulic fluid and filter have never been changed and it also might be low to boot.
I changed the fluid and filter when I got it. I let the tractor warm up, used the loader a bit to make sure fluid was in the cylinders. Then, set the loader down on the ground and shut the tractor off. I then checked the fluid. It looks clean and full to me.

Did I use the correct procedure?

That should be good enough. I do know that some of them because of the poor routing and valve design take longer to get the air out of the system.

I also have a 7205. Currently have the hydro unit pulled due to a broken forward reverse shaft. Evidently the shaft broke off of the swash plate where it comes out of the side of the hydro unit. Does anyone know of a salvaged tractor or hydro unit where I could get a swash plate or a complete hydro unit. Or maybe even a dual clutch and gear transmission to replace the hydro transmission.
Thanks

Good luck finding parts for that thing, it's dang near impossible. :(

I know it's "dang" near impossible to find parts. I was hoping you guys knew of a salvage yard somewhere that might have one.
Mahindra 2015hst is the same tractor I believe.

Hi, I've got a '98 7265 with fuel issues. The #1 injector weeps a bit at the base so I know I need a new copper gasket there. When I try to bleed the injector I get a frothy result rather than clean fuel leaking at the top of the injector. I'm thinking the injector pump is shot at this point. Anyone else had injector pump / fuel delivery issues on this flavor of CC?

Hi Paul,
I'm not sure about this but I believe you could put one together at TSC or many online stores, they are pretty standardized and I'm guessing the mower deck is worth 2 to 3 times the price of the three point

I think I have a three point from a Cub 5252. It might be compatible.
I bought it new in 2006? The hydro failed and I sold it rather than repairing it. Parts on a three year old tractor were sketchy.
I'll check tomorrow.
