Was this an option to have a 50 inch deck on a 169. My deck serial starts with a 50.

What should be the correct fuel shout off valve on a 74 169 the one in my parts book shows a male thread with a screen above to filter fuel of course, the tank has 3/4 male fine thread come out bottom of tank. The parts do not mention a adaptor? I just order the part the cub parts diagram tells me to order but I don't think I can assemble it without some adapter.
You must not have the correct fuel tank then.

I should have said 3/4 long of male thread stick straight out bottom of tank.

Ignore the red color someone did a repaint
Well then, that's just a close nipple is all.
You can just unscrew the nipple from the tank and install the new valve then.
