Has anyone done this? Does it fit/work? Any tips or things to look out for? What mule-drive belt do I need?

Other than the practical of it looking disproportionate, is there any compelling reason NOT to do this?

The "why" is I happen to have an unused 44c deck (came from a 782, which I now uses exclusively for snow-blowing), and a 2072 with no deck. Mowing speed/efficiency is not an issue. I just want to know whether it would physically work.

Thanks,
Chris

These may help. I have seen a few supers with a 38" deck on them. Do you have the 358 44" deck manual as it shows what is needed in better detail.

Thanks for the info. No, I don't have the 358 44" deck manual. Do you have a link to it, please?

No I do not have mine scanned, but I am sure there may be one in the manuals section.
