Hello all!
I'm new to this forum. To be honest, I joined because I'm looking for information on a 2284 Super Cub Cadet that used to belong to my father. My dad passed back in 2008 and his cadet has sat since.
It is great cosmetic shape but as you can imagine it won't start and the tires are dry rotted. The only attachment I have for it is the 54" belly mower. The mower is in decent shape also. It has some rust underneath but, nothing that has rusted through. Can anyone of give me an idea of what the value of this tractor would be? I've heard that the 2284 is a sought after model.

Thank you,
Jerry

I gave 700.00 for my 2284 that had problems, but it ran and did not need tires. It also has a front bumper so the plastic was in great shape. Without pictures, I would say 500.00-750.00.

Here are the photos as promised.

Jerry..opinion...It depends on you realizing that entire fuel system has to be taken apart and cleaned including the tank,(assuming there was fuel in it when shut down)..There is now a lot of crud to deal with so it's not close to a turn key start...new batt.,new fuel hoses, new fuel filter and the rear fender cover has to be removed to get to the tank...just throwing up the thoughts to consider but it looks very nice so someone should be interested..

Jerry, PM me if you’re interested in selling. I’m in NE Ohio and I like the cyclops tractors. Mike

The only replacement seat I will buy is the one that K & M manufactures. This is not a one seat fits all tractors like most sell.. It has provisions for only two patterns, and is most like the OEM with a steel pan... Model 1759

The last one of those I bought, the binding on the edge will not stay in place.
After a while bouncing around on mower duty it lets go and the cover works out from under it.
Don't know if this a too soft or too hard foam issue or poor quality binding issue.

Keep an eye on them is all I can say.
Have bought some from "Seat Warehouse" in the past but they have since closed up shop as far as I can tell. They have stood the test of time well.

Get it running and it will be worth a lot more than $500-700. They go for around $1500 in these parts...
