I'm having trouble with the fuel pump on my 2284. I first thought it was the fuel shutoff solenoid, so I replaced that and no help. I am now convinced it's the fuel pump. Original equipment was an electrical pump, didn't last long. It currently has a fuel pump that's built into the valve cover with no replacement for just the pump. Pump sells with valve cover, last time I checked $117.00 dollars. I've read about the round vacuum pump that you can use that's made by kohler and briggs Stratton( the lower price choice) but have no clue where the vacuum hose would hookup. Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance. P.S the leaves are falling and I need running.
