WILLIAM ARENTZ
HELLO,WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING TO FIND A SNOWPLOW FOR MY FREIND'S 1863.I HAVE LOCATED ONE FROM A 1810,AND EVERYTHING LOOKS LIKE IT WILL WORK EXCEPT WHERE THE LIFT ARM COME BACK TO HOOK UP.THE 1810 HAD THE CLAMP FOR THE LIFT HANDLE.THE 1863 ONLY HAS THE POINTER FOR THE DECK HEIGHT.IS THERE A WAY TO MAKE THIS BLADE WORK,IF NOT WHAT SNOWBLADE WILL WORK.

Bill,
Click the Parts Lookup Button above and enter in your model number, under attachments, it will show you the blade that is proper for your machine.

I just came across the same issue. the 1863 has a hydrolic lift. a friend of mine lent me his blade (with the clamp) if my calculations are correct it should lift with the hydrolic arm from the mower deck. I will play with it and get back with you.

William, the hydraulic lift bracket for the 1863 is about $80.00, my wife wouldn't let me buy it this month so I got itchy and made one out of some 1/2" steel. I attached the bracket to the blade with the same rod used to attach to the manual lift lever. It works fine, not factory but no problem with it. the next problem your gonna have is probably with the factory welded bolts on the front preventing your blade from sliding all the way in to lock. I cut about 1/4" off mine now slides in just fine.

The 1810 blade won't work quite right on an 1863. The front axle height changed for the 1440/1641/1863/1864 etc and the older blades don't fit quite right. I think you need the 316 blade subframe.

I have an sub frame and 54" blade here and can take pictures an measurements if needed. just need to know what is needed.
