I have a Cub Cadet 1811 and it keeps blowing fuses. Sometimes its when I turn the key from the off position and other times its when the engine is already running and the rpm's are raised and the lights are on. Would there be a chance of a pinched wire going to the lights or something of that sort? Any help would be great because I'm tired of replacing the fuse

I've found it's usually a bad key switch. Happened on several of my machines.

Dane,
One other thing to check is the fuse holder itself.I had one that it would blow a fuse maybe only once a year. Then maybe blow a few of them as fast as I changed them. The holder was cracked and would short out on the dash. But this was on a 782. Not saying that your issue but it maybe a place to look. Jim

Sweet deal. I'm definitely going to have to check that out too. Thanks Jim

Dane, I had a service call out for a similar issue last spring. Tractor would start, but not restart due to blown fuse. found the wiring was wore thru up near the hood pivot area and when the lights came on it would pop the fuse. Just an area to look at.
