Good news on the wonky! It’s not the shaft!! They just welded mount on crooked. Thank God I was nervous shaft was bent. Not. Dodged a bullet

Somebody kept that tractor in a garage. That tower and wiring is 10 times better than mine. Got lucky. Some day I’ll finish this puzzle.

Sure is different than mine.
On mine, the end of the rod is tapped and threaded and then end screws onto it with a short threaded shaft that acts as a shear pin if hit hard enough.
