This is a great running tractor. The pilot bushing was worn rather badly and wore out the clutch disk not to mention the wobble induced to the drive shaft. There is some wear (.005") on the shaft. In order to take up most of that wear I turned the original bushing out to make a very tight press fit of a stock 5/8" bushing.

The pressure plates were much to rough from rust so I faced them off to get a newish surface .

Check for slop in the clutch hanger and the arm as well. It all adds up.
Also check the clutch arm where it presses against the T/O bearing.
They can be resurfaced.
Check for loose and/or egg shaped holes and slop in rear coupler as well.

Yes all of those pieces are worn . The wiring harness fits perfectly now the regulator runs much too hot (smoke). I guess tomorrow night more testing .

Whilst wait for the new ignition switch to arrive I made repairs to the regulator mount. I had a new piece of conveyor belt so I cut a new part and as the pics show re-assembled things and set the voltage to 14.2 volts. That should be a good place to. start.
