Lee, In my excitement I forgot to post what Cub the pitures are of , but they're of a 122. You've come to the right place in that the regulars in here (old age jokes aside) have probably forgotten more than I know about these workhorses. Welcome!

And from the "How did this get in here?" department , here's a picture of my dad's H that he redid in 2001. Not one to put it on blocks, he still uses it regularly towing wagons full of elementary school kids during farm tours. It took 2nd place in our local Grange Fair 6 years ago, and has...

Assembly after about 5 coats or 1/2gal of paint . We also shot a cover coat (tires and rims off of course) to get the spots where bolts scuffed the paint. I also splurged and bought the 901 white that was correct for the tractor. It was the PPG and I was apprehensive because I remember...

Having trouble resizing the pics to the appropriate size, but the 122 resto is coming down the home stretch. Thanks to all for your help in here. In other news, I made the deal of the week as far as I am concerened. While swimming in the neighbors "concrete pond" over the weekend, I looked...

Ken, No, no, shooting primer tomorrow and then actual paint later this week. After the money I've invested in this, if I gave up now the only thing being shot would be me by the little missus.

What a timely discussion on paint! I'm about to shoot my 122 after tearing it down, rebuilding the motor and stripping off the 4 (yes FOUR, including 2 brush jobs!) coats of paint the previous owner had on it. Considering I got it for free, a little elbow grease was not bad at all. Hope the...

Questions for the guru's out there. There is a 106 for sale down the road that includes a deck, front blade, wheel weights, chains, and cart (aftermarket not IH) for $650. Now before you all get the blood pressure up, I'm not going to ask if its a fair price. My buddy wants the tractor, but...

The serial # off of mine is 150902. According to the resources online, that puts the build date between April and May of 1966.

Question for the guru's out there. My father and I are in the middle of resurrecting/restoring a 122 and among the missing parts is the clutch driveshaft cover. Was the one on it originally solid or 'perforated'?
