Hi Everyone - This is not a "wanted to buy" posting, but I have a 1974-ish 1250 with hydrostatic transmission that I'd like a sickle bar mower for. Can anyone give me the name of a manufacturer and maybe a model so I have an idea of where to start looking for such a puppy? Thanks for your help.

I hope one of you with more knowledge than I will answer this basic question. I am fixing my first CC (very used) - a 1250 with hydrostatic transmission. Does the engine and the transmission share the same lubricationg oil? I found what I think is an oil drain plug on the engine and an "oil"...

}I hope someone here can help (I am a new Cub Cadet owner). I have a 1250 Hydrostatic that is not currently running. I need to move it about 100 feet to work on it and know that it's not supposed to be "towed". What is the proper/easiest way to move it? Thanks... Mark
