    End of Day

I have to admit, just neglect. Even though I've been Blessed, life still has its bites. And this hasn't made the priority list yet. Bolt just wedged in there with a copper collar to keep out dirt and water for now. I need to take it all apart, drill and tap up a size to make it right.

    End of Day

It was all ready late, when the tractor decided that we were done. 😆 https://photos.app.goo.gl/2nXfSrbchSRnosbT8

Which is the best front mechanical PTO clutch ?

Ok thanks. I'll stay with the 2 spring style. I do need to replace the clutch pulley. It has one broken spring tab, one set screw hole has thread problems. I haven't looked, it is possible that I may have a tractor in the yard with the engaging lever with brake. Is there any advantage to that...

Which is the best front mechanical PTO clutch ?

I'm considering buying one of the complete remanufactured mechanical PTOs. My luck keeps getting worse rebuilding them myself. I've have been through the process many times over the years, with success. Right now, I put a 14hp into a CC129. The k321 that I put in, I don't know model and serial...

    Swapped in used k321

I've been hearing about how condensers are junk these days. I removed the near new condenser and replaced with an old one I had. It ran much better, but stumbles poorly at high throttle under load. At least it ran well enough to adjust the carburetor finally. Little by little I keep getting...

    Swapped in used k321

I found the marks final. I've have always had the 12hp and marks are on the outer edge. This one is a 14hp and I found the sight hole facing the front. About a quarter covered by the starter/gen bracket, why I didn't see it. Got it to open right on the mark. And it left the gap at .018. Runs...

    Swapped in used k321

The flywheel had no marks on it. I wire brushed it and lightly sprayed pb blaster and wire brushed again. No markings. So when I had the head off I found TDC and made my own mark. Had to calculate 20° advanced. Then I also tried the way of the link you sent. I will try it again to your...

    Swapped in used k321

I bought a used k321 several year back, from I believe to be a good source. Just now getting it in. Pulled the head and cleaned carbon. Sanded head flat. Checked valve adjustable (good). New carb, points, coil and plug and wire. Adjust governor arm. Runs at low speed, doesn't throttle up very...

    Guard Moose revisit

Posted Guard Moose a year ago looking at my Cub Cadets from a distance. One year and a day later, he moved in to take a closer look at all my I.H.s. Why he decided to squeeze in there 🤷‍♂️. Fresh grass I guess. https://photos.app.goo.gl/fZCFfuarKuaXmcpu5

    Used Engine Swap

Finally lost an old Kohler engine on my 129. Years ago, I had a chance to buy a good used K321A, which I plan to install into the 129. I understand the K321A should fit right in. The only thing, I don't know what year model the K321A came out of. For the most part Gaskets for the engine...

I knew you guys would know

I think I have found a question that the internet doesn't answer. Asked several different ways and can't find what I need. I was doing some work on my old sears horizontal air compressor. Without thinking, I laid it on its side for quite a while. As I stood it back up, I realized that I probably...

    129 electrical

    129. Electrical schematic shows the regulator post are. B , G , F. The regulator that is in it has L , B , F. What is the difference ? I can tell this thing is wired wrong. Had hot going to ground. My only spare regulator has the L post also. Does anyone have ohm specs I can use to bench...

Dang, thrown into a bigger group with many manufactures. I understand since I have only one MTD Cub and 8 IH Cubs. No, I just knew it looked different. Thanks

    1862 idler torsion spring

There was a chunk taken out of the belt. Before removing the belt, the pulley and belt were not even close to being in alinement. Left pulley the worst. Should at least point towards deck pulley. This was pointed more towards left rear tire.

    Has forum categories changed

I thought there was a category for non IH Cub Cadets. I don't see one now. Not sure I'm posting in the right listing.

    1862 idler torsion spring

How do you safely remove the tension on idler torsion spring? Need to remove idler shaft so I can try and straighten the pulley arms. If possible ? I don't remember hitting anything last year hard enough to bend them. But I must have. Lots of old equipment and large rock around.

Didn't think I needed more Cub Cadets.

I believe so. Though I already have 20 yrs of projects ahead of me. 😄
