    Pulley welded to crankshaft

Yeah, I know, but it was there. My concern is where those set screws make contact with the bearing. The locking collar has nothing to do with that, the screws come nowhere near that. Thanks for the reply.

    Pulley welded to crankshaft

I think I discovered why the set screws don't make contact on the bearing where they are intended to. If you look at these pictures, the first one shows the set screws not making contact properly, and the next 3, 2 of the bosses where the screw protrudes there is a small crack, and the other one...

    Pulley welded to crankshaft

Well, not going to swear it is not wobbling, but I will breakout my dial indicator when the weather gets a little better and check it for runout. Doesn't appear to be bent and looks like it is fairly running true. Thanks for the info.

    Pulley welded to crankshaft

I have a Cub Cadet 129 Hydro that I purchased several years ago, and I recently had to take the front PTO off (it's a mechanical one) When I was finally able to remove it , low and behold some moron had welded the belt pulley to the crankshaft. I really don't need the front PTO. My question is...

Tractor Wanted Model 100 - Western NY

Scot, I have 2 of those particular models that are not runners and 2 that do run. I can send pictures of them if you would like. I don't know how the feature of uploading pictures does here, but I am willing to try. Also have mower decks, plow, mule drive, etc. I live about 20 miles East of...

    Remove front PTO clutch.

I have an older Cub Cadet 129 model. It has been sitting around for several years and the set screws that hold the clutch assembly to the bearing are badly rusted and I am not able them get to loosen so I can remove it. I have soaked them with PB blaster and have had no luck. I know someone on...

    Voltage regulator

I believe you run a jumper wire from battery positive + and flash the arm terminal on the generator for a "millisecond".

    Voltage regulator

Thanks to everyone that replied. :))

    Voltage regulator

Thanks Digger, I had read about this several months ago, but couldn't remember exactly where the Gen wire went.

    Voltage regulator

Thanks for the reply. I have to presume the terminal on the underside of the new regulator is where the Gen wire goes because it is not marked. The other terminals are labeled F & Bat. My original regulator has no L terminal just F, Gen.& Bat.

    Voltage regulator

I have question about voltage regulator. I had read in a previous post, but I can't seem to find it now, about which wire is connected to the terminal on the underside of the replacement regulator. If I remember correctly the "L" terminal is not used, but I can't recall which wire hooks to the...
