Well I finally got the 125 split. The tow lever had flopped down and the associated plate was stopping the backward movement. Probably nothing special for you guys, but a big deal for me to actually split the tractor! The trunion bracket was welded at some point, but looks worn to my eyes, and...

I've got a qeuestion! I am trying to split my 125. I have and am reading the manual . I've disconnected the brake rod and disconnected the universal from the speed cam , then removed the 6 bolts holding the rear end to the frame. I pulled and the rear end moved backward about 1" then stopped. I...

Thanks Craig C. I will be using it on a snowthrower never gave a thought to the paddle. I will eyeball that area tonight. Thanks Kraig M. nothing beats a good photo. It isn't obvious to me why they want two 7/64 holes drilled in the lift handle shaft. Other than that it sure clears up a lot...

Being mechanically challenged I have a question. If I should be "lucky" enough to find a hydrolic lift (that I could afford)for a narrow frame. Is the attachment to the rockshaft my big problem? I want one for my mod 125 and possibly for my favorite mod 70. Looking at the parts lookup it looks...

Been thinking about adding a hydo lift to my 125. By now I am surprised I don't have a right bicep like Popeye! Been reading the archives, but would like to ask a few questions. Can I install any narrow frame hydro pump unit? Looks like will need to locate a hrdro rockshaft are these hard...

Just thought I would upload two pictures one with the Mod 125. I wish people would stop asking for snow I've had enought this year. I have problems throwing snow over the high banks. I tried adjusting the shute, but I end up trowing snow to vertical. I think this summer I'll tear down the thrower...

Charlie I checked underneath and the Clutch Pedal return spring is there and working ok. Donald I think you mean the Rod assy cam centering and the associated swivel? I couldn't see those parts from underneath. I still need to do the trunion speed fix so I guess this spring I will...

Charlie I thought that it would not work properly all the time without that spring. That said I will head out to the garage and check that out right now! Thanks Charlie.

Good morning everyone. I have a question about my 125. When the weather is warm everything is ok. When the cold weather hits and I step down on the break the hydro shift lever does not want to return to neutral. I have to manualy move the lever as I press on the break. It doesn't clear up as I...

Kraig thanks for the picture. I had no idea there was a breather there. I ran out to take a look. Strange looking breather it feels as hard as a rock.

Just brought home a Model 123. Lots of nuts and bolts missing. There is a broken Eng. flywheel cup. Somebody had removed the fenders, the seat and lost the base trying to get the loose drive shaft out exposing the hydro unit from above. I imagine that I need to split the tractor to install a new...

Charlie the ID is 482U1113 I had left off the 3 on my original post as it was stamped a little differently (no paint)and when I looked at it with a flash light I noticed the shiny 3 on the end. Your photo looks like my deck, but my spindal is constructed differently. I wonder if a previous...

Charlie the only information I see is a metal tag rivited to the top of the deck. It stamped with an "Ident number" Is that what you are asking? If so the ident number is 482U1113.

Shane thanks for the info on cleaning the threads before reinstalling. Charlie thanks for the heads up for the parts look up. I took a look at the mower decks for my 125 and was sure I found my deck, however the section showing the spindle doesn't seem to agree with what parts I have (48"...

Can anybody help? On my deck 48" model 482U111 the center blade was slipping. I could not get the nut loose to remove the blade so I decided to remove the splindle. After freeing up the nut with liquid wrench and some elbow grease I "tried" (key word here)to reinstall the assembly. I tapped the...

Brian thanks for the heads up on the "U" bolt. I do envy all the excellant workmanship I see on this forum, and here I am scratching my head over a simple "U" bolt. Thanks again.

I am trying to attach a snow thrower to my 125. Things were going well until I tried to bolt the bracket onto the implement lift bar. I installed the foot rest throught the hole, then found the the base of the implement arm is to thick to attach the upper "u" bolt. The bracket is the same...
