disconnected safety switches. safety and inconvenience aside, anyone know of any problems occurring if you disconnect safety switches? In figuring out what that switch was on my 129(PTO safety) i realized my 128, with the stalling problem from hell, does not have this switch and other...

Charlie "Digger" Proctor (Cproctor) that is nothing, I was just going to ask if anyone knew what that switch was on my 129 and "jerry harvey "Nines are wild" (Jharvey)" answered the question before I could ask it.

thanks everyone for the help on identifying the PTO clutch on the 129. It looked to me like there was no way to run linkage to the clutch, like the 128, so i thought it was some odd type clutch. or some kind of a PO mess. since you guys convinced me it is a normal clutch, i bought the...

the PTO clutch on a 129. this was taken from the top looking down, so it has a "standing on my head" feel. Is this the standard clutch, and is it missing parts, besides linkage? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsHj23RJZ6I in the next video I am trying to figure out if the linkage should...

Frank A. Currier(Northern Maine) (Fcurrier)- I figured out I need to post pics of this 129 yesterday. I am hoping to get back over to see the tractor again tomorrow, 9-11, and take some pics. I really think it is the same, standard mechanical clutch, my 128 has, but some parts are missing...

front PTO on a 129. serial number is in the 451941 - 454910 range, so it is probably a 129. maybe I am looking at a mechanical PTO clutch that is missing a lot of pieces. does the PTO linkage hit an electric switch under the dash? a safety switch perhaps? on my 128, the PTO linkage...

just checked with one of the sponsors for parts, they do not list an electric clutch for the 129. you know what would really maker sense right now? checking the serial number. maybe it is not even a 129. I will be back after getting the serial number.

hang on, I am confused. lets first make sure I have an electric PTO clutch. I just checked the service manual, the electric clutch looks nothing like the clutch I have. the clutch on the 129 looks like the mechanical clutch on the 128. I am going to have to post pics when I get a chance...

looking at a 129, electric front PTO clutch. I have a 128, mechanical front PTO clutch. so, I am only familiar with the mechanical clutch. On the 129, the PTO seems to be always engaged. the pulley spins when ever the engine is running. I have not tried putting the mower deck on, so maybe...

Erik Peterson (Epeterson) in addition to what others have said, I would like to add two things, some of the sponsors at the the top of the page offer brand new factory parts, some offer rebuilt, some offer used. you have to check every sponsor . second, check the classified section here...

Dave Ross (Dross)- thanks, but, my question is, is it normal for the 129 to have the PTO engaging lever and the implement raise/lower lever, but not have a front PTO? I am just wondering if it could have a different type of PTO then my 128, without the lever that hits the button on the PTO clutch.

I have a 128, gear drive, front PTO for the mower. problem with engine, no one can figure it out. I am considering a 129,hydro, no PTO for a mower. I have not seen it yet, only photos. owner does not know much about it. I might put its engine in the 128, or put the mower on the 129, and use...

I have a 128 with a k301A with a stalling problem from hell. everything has been tried. I was reading in a pulling site about the problem they have with some flywheels being removed and the timing marks lost. would it be worth trying to advance/retard my timing, to see if the timing marks...

Am I correct in assuming any implement that will fit a 128 gear drive will fit a 129 hydro? I realize not all mowers and snow blowers fit all tractors, but the 128 gear drive and 129 hydro are just about identical. I am considering fixing my stalling problem in the 128 by buying a 129. but...

what is the difference between models, 86,106,107,126,127,128 and 147 ? I know they were all made during the same time period, all with serial numbers in the same set and share the same service manual, so they must be very similar. while I am at at, is there a chart some where that lists...
