IH Cub Cadet Plow Day 15 -----April 12th 2008

Folks, I'm not bashing the guys that "suggest we push it back" or "I would schedule it for a later date". Just please understand that I'm not setting the date because I'm not smart enough to realize that the weather might be nicer a few weeks later. Thanks for the support, but that was not my...

IH Cub Cadet Plow Day 15 -----April 12th 2008

And if that don't help, go back and look at the dates for the past Plowdays. I go through this every year..........

IH Cub Cadet Plow Day 15 -----April 12th 2008

Charlie tells me he's been getting a lot of emails about the date of plowday, snow cover, etc. Here's the deal. The ONLY rule I have about this event is that it can not be held after the 15th of April. If there is snow on the ground, too cold, windy, rain, tornado, whatever..... it is completely...

IH Cub Cadet Plow Day 15 -----April 12th 2008

PLOW DAY is on for April 12th in Rockford, Ia. It will be pretty much the same as in the past. There'll be people here on Friday during the day also. There will be no rain date this year. It's rain (snow) or shine.

My tractor did (although I wasn't the operator). Most of the petcocks are on the LH side so when they're in the furrow it takes 1/4 tank of fuel just to get fuel to the carb. If they run out of fuel in the furrow, most of the will start right up if you get them back on level ground.

That field has pretty much everything. It's good soil for about 80 yards, then clay/sand then pure sand on top of the hill. The pasture we parked in is good ole riverbottom black dirt. Just in case anybody cares, the parking area is actually "Whiskey Creek"!!!

    Spring Plowday 2007 Announcement

Well, I thought it was friendly rivalry ;-) The pulling sled was just for fun. If that was mis-represented, I apoligize. Maybe the next host will want an official pull with scales and all. Don, on Wed at 2:26PM I said we had 2" of snow. On Thurs morning Charlie said we had more. I also...

    Spring Plowday 2007 Announcement

I am glad to see the pull had a lot of interest though. At least some of the Cub/Deere rivalry keeps these events interesting!!!

    Spring Plowday 2007 Announcement

Denny, that's because most of them have been to an actual pull and see who always wins. The only way a green one wins is if there's more Cub parts on them than Deere!! Blunier did fairly well on the sled with a stock clutch and probably 500 pounds lighter Besides, the way those guys were...

    Spring Plowday 2007 Announcement

Well, even though I'm not the "event director", this is a good article from the paper. The Charles City Press always does a good job on the news for these small towns. http://www.charlescitypress.com/articles/2007/04/16/news/news01.txt
