    Thank you. Al Koller

Sounds to me like his dad who lived in N.Y. bought new in 1969 and paid $1200.00 for it--which is about right price wise. Albert now lives in Georgia. Robert--cut the guy a little slack

    Cub prices

Takin care of and ridin a piece of history means a lot more to me than how fast you can get sumpthin done. Ya don't throw grandpa away just because he moves a little slower. Don't forget he is responsible for all this modern throw away junk. If he could talk--probably not very proud of it neither.

Parts for rebuilding the steering column on 100

Sounds like you need to make sure your follower in installed at mid point in the worm gear when assembling. You will get equal left /right movement when you do this.

    Fuel sediment bowl elimination

Don't eliminate this bowl. You are asking for carburetor problems--trash in gas will flow directly to carb

    Welding - general

1/16 6013 play with your heat till you get a good strike Get these rods at most any welding supply house. You don't have to buy a full tin--most will sell you small amounts

    coil question and introduction

Interesting discussion. What is main cause of the capacitor to fail? I have had ones that never fail--years and years--then some that will last for hours and croak.

Used the large flywheel. Cut the frame and spread so flywheel housing would clear. No big deal if you are a welder or have friend that is. Reinforce both ends of the cut with small wedge shaped pieces. Leave no sharp cuts or edges as frame could crack at these spots. Love the extra HP

    Paint?

Rattle can is ,I think, best choice unless you are going for museum quality. Tractor is going to work and is going to look just as good several weeks down the road no matter what you use. Charlie has the best--spray can or bulk
