Wayne Miller : Thanks for the information on the GSS-1404 manual. I'll Check back with the vendor he wrote "a small section with 3 pages for the hydrostatic" I'm hoping he dropped a zero. Other wise i'm in Colorado with few tractor shows. Don't know if I will be back east this year.

Looking at Service Manuals for a 147 (under 400,000). I found though a forum vender, a GSS-1404, but they said it only had 3 pages on the Hydrostatic. That doesn't sound like enough information. There is a GSS-1369 Supplement just for the hydro on the 105,123 & 125. Is their tranny close enough...

John L., Allen S. & Digger Thanks for the help. I did have a Parts Catalog for 400,000 and below in the garage that will help, but I was surprized it did not show a mowing deck.I forgot about the online parts look up that you mentioned. It showed a 38" and 42" deck for this mower. Other than...

Just got my first Hydrostatic a 147 Don't know any history on it. The motor was freed and felt by hand turning to have compression. But for $60 with about a weeks worth of cut & dried firewood thrown in with the tractor I couldn't pass it up. It doesn't have mow deck and seat. I would like...

I would like to but a rised exhaust w/ muffler on my 128. First, where can I get a small straight muffler, 1 1/2" dia. As light in weight as possible. Second, I would like different ideas on supporting it. I am familiar with a bracket from the head bolt to the pipe, but would like some...
