Rrschmitt. Thanks a heap for the manual link.It explained the procedure very well...I appreciate the info. Kraig, Hey again the photos of an actual narrow frame with the push blade under carriage mounted is like gold! Thanks, Gerry. Are the 2 link chains over turfs the way to go? Or...

Thanks Danderson, for explaining the Brinley setup.. Kraig, Thanks for the cut-a-way photo illustration. It makes perfect sense now! The IH spring assist is the way to go on the front mounted items. Now if I can find a complete push blade set up in my region of the country I'd be in...

Alrighty then..Paul B. and Ron S. I found the release lever and the mule drive is now off. I've been rooting around through the archives and found a few examples of how the narrow frame push frame mounts up. I presume that a spring assist would not be a bad idea for a 60 year old fat man trying...

Thank you Paul Bell and Ron Schmitt..I'll have a look and see what is going on..I am afraid the PO might have been a little too handy with a welder and welded the ends of the rods of the mule pulley cross shaft(for lack of better descriptive) to the brackets that the Frankenstein bolts pass...

Hi Fellers..Is the mule drive on a 126 the same as the 125? Is that a quick attache? I am trying to locate and purchase a complete snow blade set up for the 126 and I am wondering about the way the undercarriage hooks to the front of the frame and if the 126 take something a little different...

Thanks for the replies. It might be a slight alignment issue, or maybe as simple as the clutch disc getting a little more broken in..I mowed about 2 acres again today and it seems like whatever might cause the drag is maybe bedding in as the grinding problem is not as bad as the last time I...

Hey fellas.. I recently had a new clutch installed in my 126..It holds great and takes up well, but when I clutch it, as in when I'm shifting from 1st or 2nd into reverse or from reverse back to either 1st or 2nd..I often get some gear grind. Obviously the machine is not moving when I shift...

Hey Guys...A quick question or two.. Are the deck spindles from the cast end decks [like used on a model 71 and 122] interchangeable and usable on the later quick-tache decks as used on on the model 72 and 126? Thanks for any help. John Mitchell Cecilia, Ky.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys...I ended up replacing the V/R, solenoid, key switch and the wiring harness...I call it the scatter gun method of problem solving. My train of thought is based on the idea that all of the componants listed were nearly 40 years old and were likely nearing the...

Ok..I have bypassed the volt meter and changed out the battery for a known good one and still nothing when the ignition switch is turned to start.. Also looked at the internals of the new looking V/R and did not see any burnt contacts or any real signs of it being defective somehow. So to...

Alrighty...I spoke to the IH mechanic who did the clutch job and he says he just put new terminal ends onto the wires at the V/R as one of them pulled out of the original ends...I will try a different battery and perhaps bypass the volt gauge and see if I get anything. The battery does show...

Luther..Thanks for the taking the time to respond. I will clean and reconnect all terminals and see if that causes any reaction. Would a stuck voltage regulator cause the entire starting system to cease to function altogether? The V/R looks like a brand new unit. Has the three connection...

Man O Man..I got a doozie of a electrical problem with a circa 69-70 Cub 126. This machine has started faithfully from cold with very little choke and ran great with no electrical issues that I know of..The charge indicator gauge has worked fine, showing more charge rate right after start-up...

I am looking for a couple of seat pans for the 70 thru 100 series. Cracked is OK and long as they are pretty easily welded.. Thanks John Mitchell

I am looking for a good solid running and mowing Cub with tight steering in the Central Kentucky area.. I am in Elizabethtown. I'd maybe be interested in a Hydrostatic drive if it is known to be good and leak free. I prefer narrow frames, but would consider the right wide frame machine. I have...
