Animals other than dogs and cats

Pileated Woodpeckers - AWESOME! I had one fly right over me during deer hunting this year, it landed 100 feet from me and made a ton of noise. Certainly the highlight of my deer hunting this year! I also did see 1 whitetail, I'm certain it was part of a whetetail deer. But it was gone in...

Things that Kill my Cub time.

Brian, best of luck finding your new place! and thanks for the compliment on the bar. I've now got an order to make 2 matching bars, smaller ones 27"x42". He wants them matching to be put together as 1 long bar 21"x84" or as 42"x54". Using this rough sawn, non matching wood is going to...

Things that Kill my Cub time.

The last pic was taken indoors so it does not look as bright. Things that Kill my Cub time - I'm finishing up my last sets of Bag Toss Games. These will total 51 sets of games in 2014. I guess I know what takes up my Cub Time. Only 3 more sets on order at the moment, these are wanted by...

Things that Kill my Cub time.

4'x8' sheet steel pallets were used to make this bar. I left it outside most of the summer to fade some more. a month ago I re-sanded it and sealed it. In the middle of the bar is a trough to hold ice and cold beverages in. I've even tested this. I have to say it works!

Dog, its tough to beat chains in snow, ice, mud, anything. AGs are great, they look great, only real advantage of AGs would be the smooth ride. I do the tire swap - Ags in the summer, fluid loaded turfs n chains in the winter.

K341AQS Motor - freshly rebuilt. Less than 1 hour on rebuild. I started it December 14, 2013 and have not touched it since. guess I've lost interest, and its time to sell. Here's things I've done to this engine - Magnum .010 piston, Kirk crankshaft balance kit, crank ground .010 under...

123 for sale $250.00 Compression release not working, currently not running but I believe a carb cleaning, carb kit and a battery is all that's needed. I have a 123 decal kit for it. I think the mower deck is a 48", or I have a 38" cast deck that can be included. I have no recent pics...

    Um.... Ok???

Oil? Are we supposed to change that stuff? I think I need to change the whole oil pan on my 1250 for I cant get the drain plug loose, it has an aluminum pan. I have a cast one mounted in rails with a brace added waiting to be installed. Suppose I do this change before I hook up the...

    The Perfect Plow Tractor?

Pics are always good Perfect Plow tractor, the Plow Special. Here's a few perfect plow tractors. Here's a perfect fall day pick, may be the furrows were not quite perfect. Perfect shirt for plowing in front of those JD 430s, etc.

    The Perfect Plow Tractor?

I can tell you if I had not plowed with a 19 tooth 2nd gear in my 122, I would be more than happy with my 17 tooth second gear in my 1806. I mowed a bit with the 1806 this fall and the 17 tooth is perfect for mowing. So I'm a bit at a huge decision point whether I keep the 17 tooth rear in it...

    The Perfect Plow Tractor?

I've plow with many different models, hydros and gear drives, and Charlie is correct, the one you're on and your butt feels good sitting on it is the best. My Model 122 has been the perfect Plow Tractor for me! Until plowing in Montrose, MN earlier this October. I had a different harder...

Thanks for the responses and input. After typing my inquiry I remembered I have 2 different sets of 2 link chains for 10.5" tires, plus the 4 links for 8.5". One set is still on the tires in this pic of my 1250 from last winter. My driveway is asphalt with a little hill as I drive out...

Question for you snow throwing, snowplowing experts. Should I put 4 link chains on my 8.5" turf tires or 2 link chains on my 10.5" turf tires? I'll have fluid in the tires and weights, etc. My 1250 with Hydro lift will be sporting the QA-36A with wings to bring it to approx 42" wide...

    1806

Oops, guess I was a little tired yesterday morning, probably from plowing behind an "O"

    1806

2 bottom plow worked fine, but there was too much deep plowing going on. It was tough to keep it from plugging up. If I were to follow my own plow furrow I could have plowed all day with it. Lifting it was no problem, it really does not weigh much more than a regular 10" brinly plow. Of...

    1806

My 1806 performed great, it ran smooth and had plenty of power, but as I mentioned in the Montrose Plow Day Thread the plowing conditions were very nice. I do believe I'll find a 102 or 122 rear and stick it under my 1806 to have a bit faster 2nd gear(19 tooth versus the 17 tooth). I don't...

    Montrose Fall Plowday Oct 10-11

The dirt we plowed was awesome, rather easy to plow, turned over nice. When the plow is set up correctly it was very easy to plow. My 1806 worked fine, I'll do a write up on it in my 1806 thread under the CCC machines. My Dad's 1650 worked great until the linkage slipped on the transmission...
