I have plans to go look at the 108 later today, but this also came up on my radar. Ad says it runs, but needs a "car battery" and "no cutting parts just plow". I actually would rather have a 100, but this has been for sale now for 30 days, so it might be gone already.

Harry, I haven't yet - I have been working OT on the weekends and on a few evenings. I usually end of with a narrow frame, and usually a 104 for some reason. They just seem to find me when I'm looking for Cub Cadets. This 108 would be a departure for sure.

Kraig, As usual, you guys are most observant. I probably would have noticed those things once I saw the tractor in person, but also probably would have missed the narrow frame engine thingy.

It’s been a while since I posted here, and it’s been a while since I owned a Cub Cadet. At one time I had several CCs, almost all narrow frames, and most of them were 104s. I haven’t had one in about 8 years, but since I now own two Farmall Cubs, it’s got me interested again in Cub Cadets as...

Cub Cadet 125. This one is a mystery to me. Will run great, but then will take periods of not running so good, i.e. back firing. Also, at times will hesitate when starting like a bad s/g, though it's not. Maybe stuck valve, carbon build up on head, etc. Not sure. Hydro has a leak, but...

    Missouri Plow Day

The Missouri John Deere Two Cylinder Club wants, I repeat, wants garden tractors to be part of their club, including shows and plow days. This includes garden tractors of all brands, including Cub Cadets. Right now they have a plow day in the fall, but they are considering one in the spring...

As most may know here I picked this 1250 up a couple of months back. I was going to rebuild the engine at the time. But other projects have taken over and become higher priority than this, plus I need to funds to finance a project. So, I'm putting this 1250 up for sale. It will need an engine...

John deere model 316 owner and service manual NEEDED

Actually that's not true. You will find that most of these parts for any brand can be expensive. That's one of the myths that circulates around the 'net that just isn't true. I have owned Wheel Horses, JDs, CCs and find that prices are pretty much the same.

John deere model 316 owner and service manual NEEDED

Andrew, They're cheaper for the IH Cub Cadets because you can find them for free on a couple of sites. If you bought one online, it might be one that the guy downloaded from a site and printed it. You can't do that with JD's publications as they're not available in downloadable formats from...
