    Fiber Drive Shaft Discs....How Tight????

Yes, The Stover Nuts are there and were used. Although some might say you should only use Stover Nuts once.....I'm not one of them...

    Fiber Drive Shaft Discs....How Tight????

Thank you. Fortunately the lock nuts were still there. I tightened them to a bit of a crush and all bolts showing same amount exiting the nuts. I had to replace the seal into the transmission and there was only one disc in the rear of the drive shaft. All set now. No more leaks!

    Fiber Drive Shaft Discs....How Tight????

I replaced the fiber driveshaft discs today. Pretty easy job, but I can't find info on how tight the bolts should be. Anyone know?

Found Hydraulic Leak...How difficult to fix?

Anyone using the $9 "After Market" joints rather than the $18 CC joints?

Found Hydraulic Leak...How difficult to fix?

I have an old JD 214 that I'm converting to electric. Bought it with no motor. The seller said one rear axle was leaking. So ten years ago he wrapped the joint with a piece of kerosene lantern wick and tied a piece of bailing wire around it. Said he hasn't lost a drop of oil in ten years!

Super Easy to Add Oil Temperature Guage

Today I worked the red tractor hard....Pushing dirt, pulling trailer with loam, pulling york rake......For about 5 hours....Temperature at bottom of oil pan never went above 150 degrees. I'm still amazed how cool the oil stays.

Found Hydraulic Leak...How difficult to fix?

It is leaking from the seal around the input shaft right after the fiber driveshaft joint. How difficult is it to replace this seal? Any "How To" videos or other info around?

Super Easy to Add Oil Temperature Guage

Yesterday I ran the tractor for over an hour. Just riding around at about 2/3 throttle, not doing any real work. Temperature never went over 150. I do have a digital thermometer and it read the exact same temp when reading on the bottom of engine next to the drain plug. I'm still surprised at...

Need adapter Kohler KT-17 oil pressure port

The plug that I removed is absolutely straight threads. I measured it with my micrometer. I wasn't aware there was a 1/16 NPT. I flunked plumbing..... I'll have to visit a plumbing supply house as the smallest the hardware store and Lowes had was 1/8 NPT
