remove pto from cub cadet 1000

Use that puller as a LAST resort!! Use it gently! You do not want to bend that pulley. Douse it down good w/your favorite penetrant Tap evenly and gently around the base of the bulley using a block of wood with a somewhat pointed end and a hammer. This will usually free it up and it should slide...

If it is still under warranty, I would not touch it for fear of voiding what may be left, if any. Hopefully you bought this unit from a from a dealer and not a big box store.

Matt, At this point we just don't know, it may have been removed during the Hyd lift install. The owner may not even know what it is or where it is or supposed to be. Just sayin'.

    44C Mower deck questions.

That deck looks like it's had the crap beat out of it. Those welds look like chicken crap!! Typical "Custom by Cobble Craft" if you ask me. I'd look for a different deck, if yiu already haver good spindles it would be an easy chore to make one good one. The issue is finding one that is in much...

    Install belts on 105

The PTO belt and S/G belt are one and the same. You need to undo the adjusting nut on the linkage to install the belt. It should be part #IH-401960-r1 available from CCS, their ad is up top on the header,

    44C Mower deck questions.

Yes, it does belong there as a reinforcement. You need to determine just what is rubbing and where. May be one of the pullies is maybe bent on one side?
