    Scrappy came, Shadow went

Every time one of my pets dies another seems to show up. This time a kitten that someone must have dumped. It has a personalty unlike I've ever seen in a cat. It's more like a trusty dog. You might consider adopting a pet, they can be fun and bring enjoyment in your life.

    Scrappy came, Shadow went

I grew up with dogs and cats and the death. My wife did not and she is devastated when one dies. It's heartbreaking but life goes on.

RickeyMcKenna, You should be able to replace just the inner cable and even the conduit if needed. Once you have it cut to length, take it to a repair shop to have the end z bent or buy a cheap z bend tool.

I would not run 30w below freezing, that stuff turns to gel. My Kohler does get grumpy because of temp changes but a small turn of the jet usually makes it happy.

It's kind of hard to compare prices anymore with throw away machines. I guess Navistar finally closed the Indianapolis Works foundry, it's cheaper to buy overseas. http://www.indystar.com/story/money/2015/06/30/navistar-shuts-vintage-eastside-foundry/29540465/

Going from a 50" deck to 60" Haban deck on 982

I prefer the smaller decks but a decent 44c is getting harder to find. I think I need to figure out how to make the newer GT decks work on an 82 series.

An Original with the original engine would only have the filler plug with the oil level gauge attached to it. No dipstick.

Ron, They all had the emblem between the headlights. Unless your breather has been replaced it will have the old umbrella style. A reed style is used on the replacement breathers. May not help much with a worn engine.

Is that downtown Chicago, Michigan Av.? What was the address of IH headquarters? Refection in window shows a Cub Cadet, is that the same 149? Looks like snow but is that ground floor?

Harry, I can't believe you don't know how to put arrows on pics. All PC's came with a program called 'Paint'. I would think Mac has something similar.

I believe the part number for that u-bolt is IH-485419-R1. Still available but very pricey. http://www.cubcadet.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ARIPartFinderView?storeId=10051&catalogId=14101&langId=-1#/s/CUT//IH-485419-R1/1

Nice pics Frank? I always liked the marketing scheme with the young ladies on garden tractors. IH had a few.
