    If 298763 is the serial number than it was built April 1969. I'm guessing it's a model 72 but has had a 10hp transplanted.

    Looks to have a K241AS (10HP) engine. Serial number plate is located here in this photo. Report back with numbers and we can tell you what it is or was.

    61 original would have a K161 engine unless it's been replaced. I don't think there was a compression release on the early K161.
