    New From NC

Shields can add a few minutes of disassembly? Man, you are fast! :errrr:

Is there a better one of the IH Cadets?

My 100 still has the spindles it was born with. Nothing has been modified. Fixed it up mostly to show, but is fully functional. With normal use and maintenance, these tractors will outlast us!

    You, or the tractor? :roflol:

    PTO trouble

You can use an ohm meter to check the fuses. Just don't go higher on the amp rating of the fuses.

Quiet line tractors are OK, but they can be a pain to work on. All those shields and quieting features really get in the way.

    New From NC

Seems like the prices of cubs have gone up a lot the past few weeks. Maybe they will go back down this fall. I wonder if the Denton show had anything to do with it?

    Cub 100 engine upgrade

Saw a video once online of someone driving a 100 with a 350 Chevy engine on it!

    rusty primer

After the Rustoleum rusty metal primer catastrophe, I only use Rustoleum gray automotive primer. Never had any issues with shades of yellow or white. Of course, I always use Case IH Irongard paint. When I use the Rustoleum primer up, I will go with another brand of grey auto primer. Other than...

It's only 450 degrees today! :roflol: Where's the vette? Haven't seen any pics of it. The closest I have to a C-10 is an 87' S-10! :errrr: May drive my GMC down to the show, and just walk in. ;)

Is there a better one of the IH Cadets?

Probably almost any early tractor would be fine. Since we are not pulling tree stumps up out of the ground, or blowing snow 300 feet like Charlie (show off!!! :roflol:), let's review each trait. Breaking it down to each desired trait, I have come to a logical conclusion. What one tractor would...

    Montana

Before you take it all apart, take the head off again, and turn the crank with your hand to see if the piston moves. If it does, look in the cylinder and see if you have any scarring. If the piston moves and you have no serious scarring, put a new head gasket on and button it back up. "If it...

You're south of Denton, I am north of Denton. ;) Nice Chevys!!! Are you taking your truck to the C-10 revival in Denton in October?

    1450 vibrations

There are several guys here that have done this. They say it works well.

    New From NC

The whole state is growing rapidly! Mostly northerners, coming down from where the cost of living is much higher. A guy from New Jersey told me a $100K home here, costs $300K up there.

    129 Project Tractor

Case IH Irongard is the only paint I use! I have painted 5 complete tractors with no issues.

    rusty primer

Case IH Irongard does not work on rustoleum rusty metal primer!!! I tried it once, and the paint wrinkled up like crazy. Had to strip it down to the metal and start over. I strongly recommend you try it on a small piece first, to see how it does.

My name is Brennen. Thanks for having me as a new member

Yes. Go to the IH cub cadet tractor thread and select that. Then click on CC manuals, then click on CC manuals again. Then click on Tractor operator, or tractor service. Then select QL (quiet line) operator or service.

That's one more sharp tractor there! You talked about Denton. Would that be Denton, NC? Not too far from me. A little over an hour from here. Keep that fine tractor, it won't eat much! :errrr: You also mentioned a Chevelle. I would like to find a 68 SS, but they are listing for 45K and up. Too...
