obs 1990 Chevy 1500 rear yoke leak

Was you yoke worn where the seal rests on it? I'm guessing the sleeve is either a harder material so it doesn't wear as fast or a necessity if these new yokes are made out of weaker steel

    Hy-Tran fluid purchase locations

I've been using the Traveler oil for Tractor Supply for 10 years. I do not run my CC hard, basically as a snow plow machine with running a small trailer around during summer. Half throttle is typical running

    very unusual wheel treatment

Many moons ago, dad put his 54 Chevy on blocks with rods on drivers side rear rim. A very long rope with knots every 12" we used it as a ski lift on one of our hills. The old Chevy is still there. Buried in trees that weren't there, back in the day

    Monkeying around in Shultzie's garage

Without any thing around to give away the current date, that picture could be 50 years old. Pretty Here in upper NY, leaves are done, garlic is planted and we just had a few snow flurries. Snowplows and chains to be installed soon. Installing with frozen fingers is never fun

    very unusual wheel treatment

I was looking at that too. I have wheel barrow tires on a trailer I made. Better bearings would help it. I feel the Flange Bearing are kinda crummy.. Especially when getting side pressure. Driving perpendicular to a hillside slope.

    very unusual wheel treatment

One wheel? hmm, I assumed it was both fronts. Yes, the front chains help that sideways push you get when pushing heavy snow. Even if you take a small bite it can push you sideways. I ran a chain zigzagging threw the center of the ladder chains to help even more. On my 10000lb backhoe, I...

    2166, runs and stops

I'm wondering if what was thought-out as a low oil shut down was a dying coil from the get-go

    CC 1711 Power Steering

Nice mid 80's Blazer. As far as tough steering, I had issues when I got my 782. The outer EMD links were a bit out of alignment. A couple of turns on the link made a big difference. Maybe steer the tractor straight then stand in front and take a picture maybe we can see that it's out a bit.

    Looking for 782 parts

You can get a very nice military, weatherproof toggle that has that flat stainless (not chrome) baton. Wow, I thought your $50 comment was crazy. Just looked up some switches at Mouser electronics, they ARE priced that high. Where did $12 toggles go??

    Maintenance

Ha, my owners manuals only leave a few pages of blank pages. I keep my cars and appliances way longer then the pages provided.

    Motor oil

Air cooled engines can run way hot that is why, in my opinion, none detergent and Diesel oils are good.

Kohler Mag 20 dumping fuel again

You may want to check oil level. Gas can get passed the Rings and into the sump. Smell the dipstick for gas odor

    Motor oil

My wife's career was in supermarket. Yes it's a mess when BMWs pull up and yet they shop with their Welfare/ Food stamps/EBT cards or whatever they are calling it now. These forms of welfare pay so well that there is no incentive to work That's one problem. The other World competition...

I have Loose Leafs for all my stuff. Dates, mileage, hours when maintenance stuff was done. I have a few sheets with NAPA or Advanced Auto part numbers of maintenance parts.

    Motor oil

If USA didn't inflate themselves with Minimum Wage requirements then our manufacturing could afford to stay in the USA. Prices of everything in the USA would be cheaper to match that lower Income. Supply and Demand is capitalism. Not a govt forcing all companies to pay a specific minimum wage...
