Hello im new here my name is Dusty. I live in Broadway Va. I have several cubs and several attachments. Ive honestly gotten lucky with the attachment aspect of stubblng across really neat stuff. With that i have some questions. My first cub i got 18 years ago, it was a 128 with creeper gear. It came with a bunch of stuff. It was my dads neighbor hepassed away and i bpught it off his son. I ended up getting a snow blade, IH wheel weights, a front mount 120/240v generator, and metal inclosed cab w/doors, also a mowing deck. Then maybe 7 years ago i came across a 129 and bought it, it came with a brand new never used snow plow, along with a brand new never used snow blower. Also stubbled across a halban sickle mower for a narrow frame although i dont own a narrow frame yet. But i couldnt pass it up. So i know the inclosed cab is a rare gem, i learned this after i had moved it out of the garage to build some cabinets and 2 guys stopped by asking if it was for sale. The generator i know is rare cause i never seen another. But anyways here are my questions

1. Considering the snow blower is brand new and never touched the tractor, would you guys keep it that way?..or use it? Is it such a rarity that its of considerable value?

2. The generator dose not currently work, from what i can tell it has a removable rectifier on the front that needs replaced (so im told) but ive looked up and down trying to source that part with no luck. Im curious if anyone with in a reasonable distance could get this thin working by updating it with a bridged diode of sorts or something?

Thats all i have at the moment if you fellas have any thoughts id appreciate it. Thanks

Dusty, snowblower:If you,re not going to use it what is the point of owning?Unless you intend on a show tractor with it mounted.Way to big for a boat anchor..Being in great condition will bring a few more $ but nothing about the cubs is high $ collectible. Most of us like to refurb and run them because they are cool old machines of great quality. Zero turns own most of the mower market now.. Gen, I would try to find an elec motor rebuilder and have them look at the system..

Gary noblit, with the snowblower that was my reasoning on the question. If it holds no value im gonna use it, it dosnt snow alot where i live but itd be nice when it dose. It snowed here this week and was gonna mount it up but i got to second guessing it. I may throw out a post asking if some one wants to trade a used one for this one.
