I found this the other day lying out in the yard. It wasn't rusted so it may have been recently lost.

Anyone have an idea as to what it is? Two sides are ground with a "grip" and two sides are smooth.
 
If the angle was serrated I'd say it was a block to use on a milling machine. You put two together and raise or lower to rest the back of your clamp on.
 
Wayne the one on the left looks like a quarter, they usually don't get rusty around my place either.
