I have been reading on removing a stuck steering wheel, as mine seems to be permanently seized to the shaft of my 126. I have a bearing separator kit would that (in theory) be able to do the job without ruining the bearings?

Me personally would worry about the steering wheel more than the bearing. That is what I am normally worried about breaking.
Make up your own steering wheel puller, that is the safest.
