I have an IHC Cub Cadet Lawn Tractor Model 1650 Mftd in April/May 1977. I have all of the parts and want to restore it to its original condition (but may repower it). Is powder coating acceptable, provided the colors are correct, for entering into judgeing competition?? What kind of hydrostatic transmission do these lawn tractocs have in them.

Thomas D': Since the 1650 is a Garden Tractor, although it can have a belly mower, it is NOT a Lawn Tractor. You will get much better results posting your question on the on the IHCC Garden Tractor page (that's the top one), so I suggest that would be the better.
