Snow lovers prolly don't want to see a picture out my door this morning. Green grass is still showing, trees still have leaves on them, leaves are brown or fall colors, but still on most of the trees......but snow will get here soon enough for us.

Dave,
Have fun with the seat time. Still snowing here. We probably have 6 inches or so on the ground. My seat time will be later since I have a few errands to run first. The 1772 and blade will clean things up quick here.

Paul,
My grass was still green, too. Now it's white.

The 1450 & QA42A will have to make do for today. Les will house the 1650 and 42" blade this winter.
The 2nd 1450 is still on the bench, gotta deal with a hydro leak yet. Since mounting the tiller earlier this year, it's been leaking out the cover.

882 is tucked away in the storage trailer w/the plow yet.

Of course there is always the "O" and the BB36 as a back-up if need be.

This stuff looks to be pretty light, 'cept right on the ground where it's partially melted.

To counteract Dave's nice day. 7" of wet white stuff.

and I was mad because I had to cut grass in the upper 40's yesterday. You make me feel a little better Frank.

This is part of life in Aroostook County. It broke a record for this date set in 1948 so I can honestly say I've never seen it happen (on this date) in my lifetime. Bred and born here a little over 67 years ago I've come to the conclusion that we have aggravating but not so much life threatening weather.

We are having multiple rain storms here in Texas and the weather is really crazy - about 10-15 degrees cooler than normal. Those pictures of snow look like winter. About 4 weeks ago there was a volcano erupting on one of the Aleutian islands spewing tons of ash into the atmosphere, just wondering if any weather folks are putting two and two together - those volcanos do incredible things to the atmosphere. Like to see pictures of the other areas of the country - hope the snow doesn't stay long.

Hey David, you may be right. But I am getting some help from one weather man -I was up at 3 last night and one weatherman on CNN made the same correlation. Seems also that there is a volcano in Indonesia spewing out ash yesterday and one in Costa Rica doing the same yesterday. He did some research and said the one in Indonesia has not erupted in 400 years and has been erupting the last 4 years - made the correlation to Krakatowa in the late 1880's erupting and causing the year without summer - it snowed in Europe during that time and all the crops failed due to the cold climate. Just so happened my great grandmother immigrated to the US at that time because of the cold in the summer in Germany - at that time they didn't know what had happened. So there is some validity to the volcano theory causing some of our weather. My wife accuses me of thinking too far ahead and outside of the box all the time - but guess what.

Here we go again! This keeps up, I may just get some blade time today!
Close to 4" so far and still coming down.
Just glad I'm not looking at it through a Kenworth's windshield any more!!
