Whoa,,,, not so fast here

You will need to convert to a starter generator w/voltage regulator and any electrics that need wiring
........
Or use a flywheel w/ring gear, starter, stator, rectifier, and a host of other incidentals (muffler, shrouding, brackets, engine cradle & ISO mounts, etc) from a 129 with an K321AQS 14HP

Best to look for ANY AQS engine from a QL to seamlessly swap into your 129.

Good luck!!

David, where did Gary mention a QL or AQS? He only mentioned 129, and a 14hp from a 149.

The 129 and 149 are from the same series of tractors and a 12hp or 14hp will swap between the two with no issues. They both used the mechanical PTO and S/G. The QL engine would be the harder engine to swap into the 129 chassis.

Gary I'll be coming into Mich actually,Three Oaks to be exact. No major trip though,it's only6 miles away. A friend of mine has a farm there and over the years people have asked if they could drop off their unwanted Cubs, for whatever reason. Anyway he told me to come take a look...maybe my next winter project is sitting there.
