I picked up my a cub 1250 this summer in hopes to use it for light gardening and yard work. I've got some starter implements like a plough and a disk harrow ready to go. Trouble is though I can't seem to find the upper lift casting for the 3 point. So I'm on the hunt for that now. I can find all the other parts just not that one. But anyway it should be a fun time toying around on it when I can.

You are going to need stud shaft step bolts for that frame. as it does not have the bushings welded to the inside
And you may also consider a spring assist as well with your manual lift.

I just came across a lift arm out of a 782. I checked part numbers on parts tree and they have the same number. Will it fit my 1250? I know they're different for narrow and wide frame but I'm unsure if they changed for the 82 series.

Welcome to the circus!

You know, something that bugs me...the 1200 was manual gear, manual lift. The 1450 and 1650 were hydro with hydraulic lift standard.
Why would they give the 1250 a manual lift?...You'd think that the 1250 would have been the same as the 1450 and 1650 just less of an engine...truly odd.

🤔

It's all about price point. And, you could order the 1250 with hydraulic lift for an additional $171.00 in 1975.

Here are some prices from 175 and 1976.
