So just wondering what you guys know about a Mott mower model T36? Has an 8hp B&S engine on it with supposed good knives (45' angled ends), new gas tank & hose, runs good and from what I see seems to be in good shape (from the pictures).
Anyone have or had one, if so, what did you like or not like about it? Guy is asking $750.00 for it. Do you find they are decent to use along edges of fields or the hard tires on them just not really good for "off roading"? This is all with the understanding the field edges are fairly level and don't have large ruts in them. I know it will be towed behind the Cub, so its not like it was hanging off a 3pth arm and able to ride over the ruts.
Just curious if they are worth having around or they are pretty much only good for large lawns or orchards?

You mean this one?

Yeah, that's the one. Is it over priced or do they normally bring that much? Why you say disaster waiting to happen - because its the same concept as a disc mower behind a farm tractor - flying razor blades?

IMO, those little guys are nice to look at and take to shows, but they just impress me.
I had one for a SHORT time and it was just scary when I fired it up.
It had only been used once before I got, so it was basically new.
I run a 8 1/2 footer behind the 250A and it works great, but those little ones are just creepy to me, LOL

Come on Charlie, where is your sense of adventure?? Isn't it fun to wonder if its going to take off on you once you start it up?
