Ok lol... here we go again. I have had to put a new transmission belt on My lt1040 and in addition a new electric pto clutch. Got everything back together. Belt seemed to be correct. However, and I am not sure what happened here but the wires got ripped out of My new pto clutch. I have NO idea why that has happened . when I pushed on brake lever did not stop mower , just slowed it down a small amount as pto clutch was not disengaging. What have I forgotten to hook up or ?
ANY help/suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated !!!!!

Addendum to My previous post. The cub cadet LT1040 initially goes into gear just fine and the brake holds it. However, if I drive it around a little and press brake lever the electric pto will not disengage. I thought that perhaps the switch behind the brake lever might be defective. I took out the ole multimeter. The switch has 4 contacts in pairs of two with a push button where the brake lever hits it to disengage the electric pto.
Using My multimeter I have found that the contacts act exactly reverse of each other ohm wise. So I suspect that the switch is good. Does any one have any suggestions as to why the electric pto clutch is not disengaging? As always, ANY help suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
Randy
