LT 2180 Drive Shaft Locating Pin

I removed the drive shaft and the locating pin (front of shaft) was found loose inside of drive shaft. I cannot find anything about this in my manual. Replacing the drive barrels on both ends and found it. My cub is a 2003 (?) LT 2180 18 hp. Thanks for any & all assistance. My Aunt gave this to me a few years ago. Great mower. ba
